- Atlantic Jazz Festival Halifax
Another FANTASTIC week to be in Halifax to swing, bop, groove and hop throughout the streets of this Historic City. Lots of FREE VENUES during the day and evenings events for purchase
- Annual Halifax International Busker Festival
Street performers from all over the world come to town each August for this 11 day event. Music, magic and fun for the whole family along the waterfront plus seven stages in downtown, historic Halifax,
ALL FOR FREE, (have some change to drop in the hats).

- Pictou Lobster Carnival
Pictou, the BIRTHPLACE OF NEW SCOTLAND as it was here that the first Scottish immigrants landed in 1773. Their Lobster Carnival is a signature event for the town. The four-day event celebrates the fishing heritage of the area and features musical performances at the Main Stage, a parade, car show, derby race, boat races, mid-way, and many other activities for the whole family. They always have a fantastic line-up of evening music throughout the streets and if it's not FREE, there may be a hat to drop in a coin.

- Country Music Festival (August) / Blue Grass Festival (June)
Both events are held at the Fox Mountain Camping Park in Aylesford, just one of many small districts along the Evangeline Trail which on first appearances is so quiet but in reality offers so much including both these music events. NOVA SCOTIA HOSPITALITY AT ITS BEST !!
- Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival
An annual festival held in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lunenburg. A wonderful weekend in the small town atmosphere. With a range of venues including a wharf on the harbour front, Hill top tent, beautiful victorian Bandstand and the grand Opera House. Get a fill of great traditional, international and contemporary folk music while attending voice, instrument and dance workshops throughout the weekend. This Festival offers something for the whole family. Wonderful music playing over top the breathtaking scenery of the town creates a feeling of nostalgia, streaming back to the days when life was simple and the pace was slower. FANTASTIC !!!
- Stan Rogers Folk Festival
Each year, on the first weekend of July, Canso Nova Scotia is the site of this international songwriter's festival. See over fifty acts/groups from around the world, performing more than 100 shows on six festival stages. It's an experience for the whole family. Finding a place to stay in Canso and Area on festival weekend is an adventure in itself so bring your camping gear A MUSIC EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED !!
